“Change happens through movement and movement heals.” Joseph Pilates
Auriol’s experience and knowledge gained through 25 years as a Pilates instructor ensures her classes are safe, informative, fun, friendly and inclusive for all ages and fitness levels.
I’ve been doing classes with Auriol for 8 years, and Zoomilates since Covid.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and a chronic back condition. Her exercises to stretch and move my body have been invaluable, with the emphasis on pain free movement.
She is always wonderful and supportive, the classes are so well run, especially with us having so many differing needs. Claire, Headley.
Online ‘Zoomilates’ has proved a popular choice with clients who prefer to fit in their Pilates ‘fix’ around other commitments, or who don’t live locally enough to be able to come to a live class.
Helen from Kent says “Zoom Pilates works for me! I love the format, the explanations from Auriol are great. She is attentive to the individuals, to our aches and pains, and always gives us alternatives, adding in different exercises to keep us on our toes. Then we have the ‘post pilates social catch up’, so I never feel that I miss out on interaction with fellow pilates peeps. Thank you Auriol”!!
More than a century ago, Joseph Pilates created an exercise system called “Contrology” which we now call Classical Mat, or simply Pilates. Based on functional body-weight movements, each exercise flows into the next. Initially developed as a brilliant dynamic exercise system for rehabilitation, Pilates has become synonymous with strength, postural alignment, flexibility and mobility for long-term health, fitness and wellbeing.
Joseph Pilates said “You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions.”
Often talked about, and often misunderstood. The core of core strength is a deep tummy muscle called the transversus abdominus. When engaged it acts like a belt to secure the muscular structure between our ribs and pelvis, while the bits above and below move.
In everyday activity and in sport it should activate subconsciously, but in many cases through bad posture, injury, childbirth, or lifestyle it fails to do so.
Pilates trains you to engage this muscle at the right time in every exercise, helping it, and you regain safe and efficient movement.
Can you comfortably do the following without pain?
They are everyday activities that Pilates will help with!

Whilst I take my teaching very seriously in terms of safe and effective exercise for people of all ages and all levels of fitness or health. I am a firm believer in laughter being the best medicine, and it gives your tummy muscles a good work out too!
Every class features at least one ‘giggle session, and when weather permits, we get out in the fresh air!
